Kaelyn,
At times my adoration for you feels like soft, fine glitter
Doesn’t interfere too much with my life
But everywhere does it litter
People tell me to change my clothes
Vacuum the floor
Wash my hair
But deep in my core
I wish there was more.
Other times it feels like a sunburn
Red rashy rosy
When you get near to me
Auburn is how I turn
In the past you were like the sun
And I stood in the safe, cool shade
But now it’s late
Into adulthood we fade
I swear to god my wings wont melt
I just needed you to know how I felt
