In realms of academia, I'm not the top,

My efforts measured, yet I never stop.

No matter how hard I strive and toil,

Another's brilliance shines, my efforts recoil.

On fields of play, I'm second best,

Though I give my all, I fail the test.

In every match, another claims the fame,

Leaving me behind, in their shadow's frame.

In family's eyes, I often find,

My efforts fading, a subtle bind.

Though love abounds, the spotlight's glow,

Falls upon another, as I watch it go.

In each domain, I accept my place,

In the quietude of second's grace.

Though shadows loom and dreams may fade,

In second's embrace, my path is laid.

For in this realm of dim-lit skies,

I find solace, where sorrow lies.

Though not the victor in life's race,

I'll find contentment in second's embrace.

So let the world exalt the first,

In second's silence, I'll quench my thirst.

For in the depths of shadows' might,

I'll find my peace, in second's light.
