Life and death, they walk hand in hand,
Two companions, together they stand.
Each one a mystery, each one a friend,
A journey that we all must attend.
Life is a teacher; it shows us the way,
Its lessons are learned with each passing day.
It brings us joy, it brings us pain,
But through it all, we learn to remain.
Death is a mystery; a door that we fear,
Yet it is a part of life, always near.
It takes us away, it gives us rest;
It is the final test.
Together they are an endless cycle,
A dance of joy and sorrow; a miracle.
Friends they are, in their own way,
Guiding us through each passing day.
So let us embrace them both with open hearts,
For they are a gift that sets us apart.
Let us live, let us love, let us be.
Friends with life and death, eternally.
