It'd be funny if birds could bark,
owls yip in the forest dark.
The defensive growls of a territorial seagull
or the mighty yaps of a proud eagle.
It'd be funny if birds could woof
as pigeons whine on New York roofs.
While geese of Canada howl and wail
American robins wag their tails.
Our parks would be a lot louder
if a bird’s shrill song had a dog's power,
but if birds bark relentlessly in the streets,
what if dogs knew how to tweet?
